Straddling the departments of the Alpes de Haute Provence (04) and the Var (83), the Gorges du Verdon is a canyon dug by the river Verdon for millennia. The Gorges du Verdon canyon separates the Pre-Alps from Castellane and the Pre-Alps from Digne.
